Detailed Itinerary, 10 Days
Day 1: Welcome to Cairo
Arrive in Cairo and begin your journey through ancient Egypt. Upon landing, our dedicated staff will be waiting to greet you, assist with obtaining your visa, handle your luggage, and escort you seamlessly to your hotel. Once checked in, they’ll help you settle comfortably, introduce you to the local area, and review the plan for tomorrow so you feel fully prepared.
The rest of the day is yours to relax or explore at your own pace.
Overnight in Cairo
Day 2: Cairo, Pyramids, Sphinx, Memphis & Saqqara
Your Egyptian adventure begins in legendary Giza, home to the iconic pyramids and the Great Sphinx. Stand in awe before the Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, one of the most extraordinary sights on earth. Rising 500 feet high and stretching 750 feet at its base, the Great Pyramid of Khufu is a masterpiece of ancient engineering. Its original smooth limestone casing has long since been removed, revealing the incredible stacked stone structure beneath.
At the base of the plateau, you’ll meet the enigmatic Great Sphinx, guardian of the pyramids for over 4,500 years. For those who want a true desert experience, an optional camel ride across the sands offers unforgettable views and photo opportunities.
After exploring Giza, continue to Memphis, the first capital of ancient Egypt, to uncover its remarkable history. Then travel to Saqqara, home of the famed Step Pyramid of Djoser, the earliest large-scale stone monument in the world and an important precursor to the great pyramids of Giza.
A full day of ancient wonders sets the tone for the unforgettable journey ahead.

Day 3: Coptic Cairo, Saladin Citadel & The Alabaster Mosque
Begin your morning in Coptic Cairo, one of the oldest and most atmospheric corners of the city. Wander through its narrow lanes and visit the historic Hanging Church, a beautifully preserved landmark built above the gatehouse of an ancient Roman fortress. As you explore, you’ll step back into centuries of Christian heritage that helped shape Egypt’s rich cultural tapestry.
In the afternoon, continue to the magnificent Citadel of Saladin, perched strategically atop the Muqattam Hills. This imposing medieval fortress once served as the seat of power for Egyptian rulers and offers sweeping panoramic views across Cairo.
Within the Citadel, visit the iconic Mosque of Muhammad Ali, also known as the Alabaster Mosque. Dominating the skyline with its grand domes and elegant minarets, this 19th-century masterpiece stands as one of Cairo’s most treasured architectural gems. As you explore its ornate interior, you’ll gain insight into the history of the Muhammad Ali Dynasty and the pivotal events that unfolded here, shaping modern Egypt.

Day 4: Dades Valley
This morning we set out for a two to three hour hike through the breathtaking Monkey Fingers Canyon in the Dades Valley, one of Morocco’s most striking natural landscapes. The trail winds through towering rock formations, narrow passages, and sunlit cliffs — a perfect blend of adventure and serenity, accessible for all levels. After the hike, we return to the Eden Boutique Hotel, your stunning retreat in the valley. Spend the rest of the day relaxing by the pool, unwinding in the gardens, or simply enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of this beautifully designed boutique hotel. This is your time to recharge, soak up the views, and savor the slower pace of Morocco’s mountain life.

Overnight in Dades Valley
Day 5: Dades Valley
Today is all about slowing down and savoring the beauty of the Atlas foothills. We’ll start with a scenic hike through the stunning “Monkey Fingers” mountains, an area known for its striking rock formations and serene trails. Afterward, you’ll dive into the flavors of Morocco with a hands-on cooking class — a wonderful chance to learn traditional recipes and techniques straight from the source. The afternoon is yours to enjoy by the pool, wander the breathtaking grounds, or simply relax before indulging in a fabulous dinner. And don’t miss the gardens after dark — they glow with hundreds of lanterns, creating one of the most magical nighttime settings in all of Morocco.

Overnight in Dades Valley
Day 6: Dades Valley – Erg Chebbi Dunes, Sahara
After breakfast, we begin our journey deeper into the desert landscapes of Morocco. Our first stop is the Todra Valley, famous for its lush palm orchards, ancient Berber-Jewish kasbahs, and the towering limestone walls of the Todra Gorges— a spectacular series of canyons carved by centuries of flowing water. From here, we continue to the small village of Jorf, where you’ll explore an ancient underground irrigation system, an incredible feat of engineering that once sustained entire communities in this arid region.
Next, we journey to Erfoud, an oasis town celebrated for its fascinating fossils and desert culture. As the scenery begins to shift into rolling dunes, we make our way toward the majestic Erg Chebbi, home to some of the highest sand dunes in Morocco, reaching up to 150 meters tall.
Upon arrival, you’ll mount your camel and begin a picturesque hour-long trek across the golden sands, eventually reaching your luxury desert camp. Here, you’ll settle in for an unforgettable evening — enjoy a delicious dinner, gather around the fire for local music, try sandboarding on the dunes, and soak in the beauty of a star-filled desert sky. Your tent is fully equipped with everything you need for a cozy and comfortable night in the Sahara.

Day 7: Erg Chebbi Dunes, Sahara
The next morning, you’ll want to rise early to witness one of the Sahara’s greatest gifts — a breathtaking sunrise over the sweeping Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast at camp, we’ll begin our exploration of the region with a peaceful visit to a nearby oasis before heading to the village of Khamlia for an immersive cultural and culinary experience. Here, you’ll take part in a hands-on Moroccan cooking class, learning to prepare traditional dishes like Berber pizza and classic tajine, all while enjoying the soulful rhythms of Gnaoua music, a cherished North African tradition.
After lunch, the adventure continues as we make our way back toward the desert for an exhilarating afternoon of ATV riding across the golden dunes. Ride through the vast Sahara and chase the shifting light as the desert begins to glow toward sunset. Another opportunity for sandboarding, sunset and desert vibes.
As the day winds down, you’ll return to Desert Luxury Camp for another unforgettable evening beneath the stars. Relax by the fire, enjoy a delicious dinner, and settle into your cozy, heated tent for a peaceful night in the heart of the Sahara.

Day 8: Merzouga – Rissani – Agdez – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, we begin our journey toward the historic town of Rissani, once the ancient capital of Tafilalet and home to one of the oldest and most important traditional markets in Morocco. Wander through its lively souks, where locals trade everything from spices and dates to textiles and handcrafted goods — a glimpse into authentic desert life.
From Rissani, we continue toward the magnificent Draa Valley, the longest stretch of palm groves in Morocco, spanning an incredible 1,100 kilometers. Lined with fortified villages, kasbahs, and endless date palms, this valley is one of the country’s most stunning natural corridors. The scenery shifts once again as we wind through the rugged beauty of the Anti-Atlas Mountains, taking in sweeping views of rock formations and desert landscapes.
By late afternoon, we arrive in Ouarzazate, often called the “Gateway to the Sahara,” where you’ll settle in for a relaxing evening and overnight stay.

Day 9: Ouarzazate – Marrakesh
After breakfast, we begin our journey with a visit to the Atlas Film Studios, the largest and most iconic film studios in Africa. You’ll explore the sets, learn the behind-the-scenes stories, and discover why this region has long been Hollywood’s desert backdrop.
From Ouarzazate, we continue to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most photographed landmarks. This ancient ksar, with its towering earthen architecture and maze-like alleyways, offers a captivating look into Morocco’s historic trade routes and cinematic legacy.
We then make our way over the High Atlas Mountains via the dramatic Tichka Pass, taking in sweeping mountain vistas as we descend toward Marrakech. By late afternoon, you’ll arrive at your charming riad in the heart of the city for a relaxing evening.
To end the day in true Moroccan fashion, we’ll arrange for you to enjoy an authentic Moroccan hammam and massage— the perfect way to unwind and reset after a day of adventure.

Day 10: Marrakesh – Departures
Please schedule your flights to depart from Marrakesh airport. Late morning or afternoon flights are most ideal. As you will need to be at the airport 2 hours before departure.

She’s traveled far and wide, volunteered around the world, and even spent time doing mission work. And when that wasn’t enough? She started jumping out of airplanes for fun. Speed, adrenaline, and wide open horizons are her love language.
Amy is also a proud mom of two, though she’ll tell you her kids aren’t quite as adventurous as she is. Which is why she’s happily making up for it. One epic adventure at a time.

We understand that plans can change, and while we would love to offer free cancellation, due to the limited availability of spaces and the special group rates secured for this event, we are only able to offer a refund if we can fill your spot or if you can find a replacement to take your spot.
If you need to cancel, please notify us as soon as possible. We will make every effort to fill your space from our waitlist. Should we successfully find a replacement for your booking, a full refund will be issued. However, if we are unable to fill your spot, no refund will be provided.
