Itinerary, 6 nights & 7 days

Day 1:

Your adventure begins the moment you arrive at Ponta Delgada International Airport. Our friendly team will greet you and transfer you to your accommodation. Feeling a bit of jet lag? No worries—we’re not diving straight into the action. Today is all about easing in and settling down. After you have had some time to rest and recharge, we’ll take a leisurely stroll around Ribeira Grande. We’ll gather for a lovely seaside dinner to kick off this incredible women’s group trip.

Day 1 Includes: Airport Transfers, Dinner, Accommodations

Day 2:

I hope the jet lag has worn off, because today we’re diving right into the beauty of this island paradise. We’ll be doing a scenic clockwise loop, starting on the lush eastern side of the island and making our way through charming towns, stunning viewpoints, and cascading waterfalls.

We’ll kick things off with a peaceful drive along Alameda dos Plátanos, a tree-lined avenue that’s perfect for a photo stop. Then it’s off to Miradouro do Salto do Cavalo, where sweeping views stretch across the island’s dramatic interior.

Next, we’ll explore the town of Povoação, the island’s oldest settlement. We’ll stroll the cobblestone streets, try a local pastry, and soak up the small-town charm. From here, we’ll lace up our sneakers for a short hike to Salto do Prego, a beautiful waterfall nestled in the forest—don’t forget your camera!

After working up an appetite, we’ll enjoy a delicious local lunch before heading to the magical Parque Natural da Ribeira dos Caldeirões. This lush, waterfall-filled park is one of São Miguel’s hidden gems, perfect for wandering and unwinding.

We’ll return to the hotel in the late afternoon for a little downtime to relax and regroup before heading out to dinner together.

Today is all about connecting with nature, soaking in island scenery, and getting a taste of São Miguel’s unique charm. It’s the perfect way to start our unforgettable women’s adventure!

Day 3:

We’ll kick things off by checking the tides and—if conditions are right—taking an exhilarating swim in the natural thermal waters of Ponta da Ferraria, where hot springs meet the Atlantic Ocean. It’s a thrilling and refreshing way to start the day!

From there, we’ll take in the dramatic coastal views of Mosteiros before enjoying a delicious local lunch in the area. After we’ve refueled, we’ll head to the tranquil village of Sete Cidades for a peaceful walk around the lake—an iconic volcanic caldera filled with beauty and legend.

Then the real adventure begins as we go off-roading along the White Road, a scenic 4×4 route that winds along the rim of the crater. This route offers breathtaking views from several stunning lookouts, including Miradouro das Cumeeirasand the legendary Miradouro da Boca do Inferno—arguably the most jaw-dropping view on the island.

We’ll also pass through Miradouro da Vista do Rei and Miradouro da Lagoa de Santiago, each offering unique perspectives of São Miguel’s volcanic landscape. Along the way, we’ll marvel at the Aqueduto do Carvão, a remarkable feat of historic engineering nestled in the forest.

Today is all about raw beauty, hidden corners, and moments that will take your breath away. Bring your sense of adventure—you’re going to need it!

Day 4:

We’ll start the morning with sweeping coastal views at Miradouro de Santa Iria, one of the island’s most picturesque lookouts. Then, we’ll make our way to the Gorreana Tea Factory, the oldest tea plantation in Europe, where you can stroll through the tea fields and enjoy a tasting of local Azorean tea.

Next up is Miradouro do Pico do Ferro, offering a dramatic overlook of the Furnas Valley below. From there, we’ll descend into Furnas to spend the rest of the day immersed in its steamy, magical landscapes. Taste mineral waters from different springs, visit bubbling geothermal vents, and learn about the traditional method of cooking cozido in the ground using volcanic heat—then enjoy it for lunch!

In the afternoon, we’ll take a scenic riverside walk and then unwind with a leisurely soak in the thermal pools of Parque Terra Nostra, surrounded by lush botanical gardens.

We’ll head back with some time to relax and regroup before meeting up for dinner to reflect on the day’s incredible experiences. This is a true São Miguel highlight—where nature, tradition, and relaxation come together beautifully.

Day 5:

We’ll begin with a scenic morning drive to Cascata do Salto do Cabrito, a hidden gem nestled in the forest. Whether you take a refreshing dip or simply admire the falls, it’s a peaceful way to start the day.

Next, we’ll head up to Miradouro da Lagoa do Fogo, where you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the crater lake—one of the most stunning vistas on the island.

From there, we’ll visit the renowned Cerâmica Vieira, a family-run ceramic studio where you can watch artisans at work and shop for hand-painted treasures to take home.

After a fabulous lunch at a local favorite, we’ll visit a traditional Azorean pineapple plantation to learn about the island’s unique cultivation process—and maybe even sample some sweet pineapple treats.

To wrap up the day, we’ll unwind with a soak in the thermal waters at either Caldeira Velha or Termas das Caldeiras, both set in lush, jungle-like surroundings.

Day 6:

We’ll stop at the Azorean Pineapple Plantation to learn about the unique cultivation process of these world-famous pineapples. We hike/walk to some incredible lakes, that are very off the beaten path, I don’t want to give away too much for today, but there is a surprise in store.

Day 7:

We hope you had an unforgettable experience. You have discovered all the beauty and wonders that São Miguel has to offer. From the breathtaking landscapes to the unique cultural gems, it’s been an incredible journey. Sadly, our time adventuring together has come to an end—for now. We understand that plans can change, and while we would love to offer free cancellation, due to the limited availability of spaces and the special group rates secured for this event, we are only able to offer a refund if we can fill your spot or if you can find a replacement to take your spot.

If you need to cancel, please notify us as soon as possible. We will make every effort to fill your space from our waitlist. Should we successfully find a replacement for your booking, a full refund will be issued. However, if we are unable to fill your spot, no refund will be provided.
