Sample Itinerary, 10 Days 9 Nights

After breakfast, set out to explore the major highlights of Istanbul’s Old City. Begin with a guided visit to Topkapi Palace, including the Harem, with ample time to take in its history and grandeur, followed by the iconic Blue Mosque. Enjoy a casual lunch of delicious döner sandwiches before wandering through the Grand Bazaar, one of the world’s most famous and vibrant marketplaces (closed on Sundays). Continue on to the Galata Bridge, spanning the Golden Horn, for a walking tour where you can watch local fishermen bringing in the day’s fresh catch. Upon reaching the Beyoğlu district, ride the historic underground funicular up to Galatasaray and stroll along İstiklal Caddesi, a lively shopping street lined with churches, embassies, stately buildings, boutiques, galleries, and cafés. This evening, enjoy dinner at a traditional local meyhane, accompanied by a foodie guide who will introduce you to the rich traditions of meyhane culture. Sample raki, often called “Lion’s Milk,” alongside a variety of classic mezze for an authentic and memorable dining experience.

We will spend three nights in Istanbul. Today is designed as a gentle landing after your travels, giving you time to unpack, freshen up, and begin soaking in the rhythm and beauty of this incredible city. Whether you choose to rest, take a short stroll nearby, or simply enjoy the hotel amenities, the focus is on settling in and easing into the journey ahead.

This evening, we’ll officially kick off our time together with a welcome dinner, a chance to gather as a group, share our excitement for the days ahead, and enjoy our first taste of Istanbul’s vibrant culinary scene. To ensure you can fully enjoy the evening without feeling rushed, please plan to arrive by mid day.

After breakfast, meet your local guide for a fascinating tour focused on Istanbul’s Byzantine past. Highlights include the Hippodrome, the iconic Hagia Sophia, and the atmospheric Underground Cistern. Enjoy a delicious kebab lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to the vibrant Spice Market, a historic stone bazaar dating back to 1664 and filled with aromatic spices, dried fruits, and nuts. After some time to explore, return to the hotel to refresh before heading out for a sunset Bosphorus cruise, a beautiful way to experience the waterway that links Europe and Asia. Following the cruise, enjoy dinner at a restaurant in the city.

After breakfast, transfer to Istanbul Airport for our flight to the Cappadocia region, arriving into either Kayseri or Nevşehir depending on the best available flight schedule. Upon arrival, transfer into Cappadocia, where the next few days are dedicated to exploring this extraordinary landscape. There will be time to visit neighboring villages, wander through scenic valleys, and for those who wish, experience a breathtaking hot air balloon ride. This afternoon, explore one of the region’s fascinating underground cities before stopping in Avanos, a town set along the banks of the Red River, to learn about the local art of pottery making and try your hand at creating your own piece. Continue on to check into your cave hotel, your unique home for the next three nights. This evening, attend a traditional Mevlevi Sema ceremony at a 13th century caravanserai outside of Avanos. Inspired by the teachings of the Persian poet and mystic Rumi, this centuries old ritual blends poetry, music, chanting, and the mesmerizing whirling of the dervishes in a deeply spiritual experience. Please note this is a shared cultural performance and not exclusive to our group.

Flights: Included

Begin the day early with a group sunrise hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia’s extraordinary landscape. After an early morning hotel pickup, transfer to the launch site and watch as the balloon fills with hot air before gently lifting into the sky. Soar above the region’s dramatic valleys and unique rock formations as they glow in the soft morning light, enjoying a peaceful and unforgettable perspective from above. After approximately 45 minutes to one hour in the air, return to earth and celebrate the experience with a traditional champagne toast before heading back to the hotel for breakfast. Please note this activity is weather dependent, subject to last minute cancellation, and requires climbing into the basket. 

After breakfast, begin a guided exploration of Cappadocia, starting with a visit to the Göreme Open Air Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featuring rock cut monasteries and churches adorned with remarkable 11th and 12th century frescoes. Continue on to Pasabag Valley to admire its iconic fairy chimneys and tower shaped hermitages, then stop at Pigeon Valley for sweeping views of Uçhisar Castle. Explore the castle itself, famous for its rock carved dwellings and panoramic viewpoints. Before returning to the hotel, enjoy an informative carpet making demonstration, gaining insight into one of Turkey’s most treasured art forms and the traditions passed down through generations. Conclude the day with a private sunset wine tasting arranged exclusively for our group, set against the stunning backdrop of Cappadocia’s valleys.

After breakfast at the hotel, head out for a scenic light hike through Cappadocia’s stunning valleys. Begin with a gentle downhill walk among the fairy chimneys, exploring caves and visiting traditional cave houses while enjoying plenty of opportunities to capture photos of the dramatic landscape. Following the hike, enjoy a truly special experience as you join a local family in their home for a hands on cooking lesson. You’ll be welcomed into a traditional stone house adorned with arched ceilings, Turkish textiles, and Cappadocia rugs, where you’ll experience warm Turkish hospitality while preparing and sharing a meal together.

Afterward, enjoy some free time to further explore the region at your own pace. Return to the hotel later in the day, with dinner on your own this evening. Optional activities are available for those interested, including relaxing at the hotel, an exciting ATV ride, or horseback riding. These activities are not included, and we are happy to assist with local bookings.

After an early breakfast, depart the hotel for our flight to Izmir. Upon arrival, drive to Selçuk to explore the extraordinary ruins of Ephesus, including the Terrace Houses. One of the best preserved ancient cities in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ephesus offers an unforgettable glimpse into classical antiquity as you walk its marble streets and grand ruins. After sightseeing, enjoy a leisurely lunch before continuing to the picturesque mountain village of Şirince. This charming historic village, surrounded by olive and peach groves, is known for its stone and stucco houses, winding cobblestone lanes, local markets, and inviting cafés. Spend time wandering the car free village, browsing shops filled with fresh produce, spices, olive oil soaps, and local wines, or simply enjoying the scenic views and relaxed atmosphere. This evening, check into your hotel and enjoy a special cooking class followed by dinner, hosted by the co founder and host of the Nişanyan Hotel, where we will be staying for the next two nights.

After breakfast, we’ll depart Sirince and enjoy a scenic one-hour drive to Dilek National Park, where your e-bikes, helmets, and gloves will be waiting. After a brief orientation and safety talk, we’ll set off on an easy and enjoyable ride through the park, pedaling along smooth asphalt roads that wind through fragrant pine forests. Feel the breeze and take in the sights, sounds, and scents of this beautiful natural setting as we cycle approximately 10 miles over the course of about an hour.

Midway through the ride, we’ll park the bikes and enjoy a short hike through the Kanyon forest, giving you time to stretch your legs and experience the landscape on foot. Afterward, we’ll hop back on our bikes and continue on toward the coast, arriving at the beach in about 20 minutes.

Lunch today is a relaxed, picnic-style meal enjoyed under the pine trees near the beach, surrounded by peaceful forest views and the sound of the sea. Following lunch, you’ll have time to swim and unwind in the stunning turquoise waters of Kavaklıburun Cove, one of the park’s most beautiful spots. We’ll spend roughly two hours here, so be sure to bring your swimsuit.

In the afternoon, we’ll cycle back toward Zeus Cave, a scenic ride of about one hour. If weather conditions allow, there may be an additional opportunity for a refreshing dip in the Aegean Sea. At the end of the tour, we’ll transfer back to the hotel to relax after a full and active day.

Dinner this evening is on your own.

This morning, we head to Pamukkale via a scenic 3.5-hour drive, passing through lush fruit orchards. Upon arrival, we check into the hotel and enjoy lunch. The afternoon is dedicated to exploring the famous white cliffs of Pamukkale and the ancient Roman city of Hierapolis and enjoy the stunning sunset hours at the unique travertines pools.

This morning transfer to Denizli Airport and flight back to Istanbul Airport and connection flight back to home. End of our services.

Travel days don’t always line up perfectly and that’s okay. If you choose to arrive before the official start of the trip or extend your stay after it ends, early arrival and late departure can be added onto your trip. We will coordinate a block of rooms for the group, based on availability.

Getting to Turkey

For your convenience, please plan to fly in to Istanbul, Turkey. Plan to arrive by mid way and to depart in the afternoon or evening as we are flying from Denizli Airport in the morning.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change, and while we would love to offer free cancellation, due to the limited availability of spaces and the special group rates secured for this event, we are only able to offer a refund if we can fill your spot or if you can find a replacement to take your spot. 

If you need to cancel, please notify us as soon as possible. We will make every effort to fill your space from our waitlist. Should we successfully find a replacement for your booking, a full refund will be issued. However, if we are unable to fill your spot, no refund will be provided.
