Itinerary, 13 Nights & 14 Days

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, meet with the driver and transfer to the lodge, a journey of approximately 40 minutes. Check-in and take some time to relax after your international flight. Enjoy a delicious dinner at the lodge before settling in for the night.

Set on a former coffee plantation surrounded by lush gardens, the lodge offers a serene retreat with stunning views of Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru. The property features an inviting lounge, a spacious terrace, and 31 chalets, junior suites, and family rooms spread across a tropical estate. Guests can unwind by the beautifully landscaped swimming pool or relax in the main area, which includes a cozy lobby with a fireplace, a bar, a garden terrace, and a large restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating.

February 9: Arumeru Lodge

Tarangire National Park: Two Days of Wildlife, Wonder, and Timeless Landscapes

Venture into the heart of Tarangire National Park for an unforgettable two-day safari filled with striking scenery, abundant wildlife, and serene luxury. Known for its vast herds of elephants, ancient baobab trees, and golden savannahs, Tarangire offers a more intimate and off-the-beaten-path safari experience.

Spend your first day on a full-day game drive through the park’s diverse terrain—spotting everything from giraffes and zebras to lions and wildebeest. Break for a scenic lunch overlooking the plains or riverbanks, then continue exploring the quieter corners of this stunning park, rich with birdlife and seasonal marshes. By late afternoon, arrive at your luxury tented camp, where you’ll unwind with a sundowner, enjoy a chef-prepared dinner, and gather around the bonfire under a canopy of stars.

The next morning begins with a sunrise game drive—one of the most magical times to be in the bush. Watch the park come alive as predators prowl and elephants roam through the morning mist. After a relaxed lunch at Tarangire Safari Lodge, with its sweeping views over the valley below, exit the park through the North Gate.

Conclude your Tarangire experience with a scenic 45-minute drive up the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Arrive at your next lodge by early evening, where another beautiful setting and welcoming dinner await—bringing this chapter of your safari journey to a perfect close.

February 10, 11: Maweninga Camp, February 12: Bashay Rift Lodge

In February, the Serengeti’s Olduvai region and the nearby Ngorongoro Crater offer an unmatched safari experience during one of the most spectacular wildlife events of the year—calving season. As over half a million wildebeest return from Kenya’s Maasai Mara, the southern Serengeti plains near Olduvai become the birthing grounds for thousands of calves each day. This lush, green landscape teems with life, attracting predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, making for thrilling game viewing. Just to the east, the Ngorongoro Crater—an ancient volcanic caldera—offers its own extraordinary ecosystem, home to the Big Five and an astonishing concentration of wildlife year-round. February 13, 14: Olduvai Camp

we’ll spend two unforgettable nights deep in the Serengeti, surrounded by the sweeping beauty of the Togoro Plains—an ideal location during calving season. This lush, remote region comes alive as thousands of wildebeest give birth, drawing in predators and offering some of the most dramatic wildlife encounters of the year. Our base is a stunning luxury tented camp, known not only for its breathtaking views and exceptional hospitality but also as the home of a resident pride of lions. With a bit of luck, we may witness unforgettable moments without even leaving camp. Days will be filled with immersive game drives through the plains, and evenings will end with sundowners overlooking the savannah and gourmet dinners under the stars. February 15, 16: Togoro Plains

Travel north through the vast plains of Serengeti National Park, immersing yourself in its endless landscapes and abundant wildlife. Along the way, enjoy a picnic lunch in the heart of the park.

In the afternoon, continue the game drive along the rivers in the Serengeti’s central region, including Seronera and Banagi, areas known for their high concentration of big cats such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs.

As the day winds down, head toward the Grumeti zone for the evening.

Grumeti Hills offers a truly immersive and off-the-beaten-path safari experience, perfectly timed with calving season in the Serengeti. This lush region, bordering the western corridor, is teeming with wildlife and dramatic predator activity as thousands of wildebeest give birth across the plains. During our stay, we’ll enjoy daytime game drives through the hills and valleys, a fascinating cultural visit to a nearby village for an authentic look into local life, and an exhilarating night safari—offering the rare chance to spot nocturnal wildlife like aardvarks, bush babies, and elusive predators on the move. February 17, 18: Grumeti Hills

After breakfast, transfer to Kogatende Airstrip for a scheduled flight to Saadani. Upon arrival, receive a warm welcome at Kaasa Bay, where the coastal wilderness meets the Indian Ocean.

Settle in and take in the serene surroundings before enjoying a relaxing evening.

Where else can you spot elephants at sunrise and dip your toes in the Indian Ocean by sunset? Saadani National Park is one of Tanzania’s best-kept secrets—a rare place where untamed wildlife and serene beaches exist side by side.

Spend two leisurely days exploring this coastal gem. Mornings begin with golden light spilling through the acacia trees as you set off on a game drive. Elephants emerge from the mist, lions lounge in tall grasses, and giraffes stretch gracefully for their breakfast in the treetops.

Return to your lodge for a hearty, locally-inspired meal before heading out to the Wami River. Drift along its peaceful waters on a boat safari, where hippos snort just beneath the surface, crocodiles warm themselves on the banks, and a kaleidoscope of birdlife flits across the sky.

In the afternoon, visit a nearby fishing village. You’ll meet warm and welcoming locals, watch traditional boats return with the day’s catch, and stop by a local school where children’s laughter fills the air—a beautiful window into life along Tanzania’s coast.

Spend the last morning at leisure, soaking in the peaceful surroundings of Kaasa Bay. Enjoy a final walk along the beach or relax before your journey.

At the designated time, transfer to Saadani Airstrip and board your flight to Zanzibar, marking the end of your unforgettable adventure.
