Day 1

Your adventure begins when you arrive at Belize Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE), where you’ll be greeted and provided with ground transfers to the serene Sweet Songs Jungle Lodge, a Muy’Ono Resort. Nestled along the tranquil banks of the Macal River in San Ignacio, this lush jungle retreat is the perfect place to unwind after your journey. Settle into your comfortable accommodations and take in the stunning views as you relax by the infinity pool. In the evening, join us for a Welcome Gathering, where you can meet your fellow travelers, followed by a delicious dinner to kick off your Belizean adventure.

Day 2

Start your day with a half-day tour of the incredible Xunantunich, an ancient Mayan site perched on a ridge above the Mopan River, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding jungle. The adventure begins with a unique, hand-cranked ferry ride across the river, setting the tone for this cultural exploration. Afterward, return to Sweet Songs Jungle Lodge for a delicious lunch. The afternoon brings more adventure as you float down the tranquil Macal River, soaking in the beauty of the rainforest as you drift toward Sweet Songs’ Beach. End your day with a relaxing dip in the infinity pool, followed by a Sundowner Gathering and a delightful dinner to close out the perfect day in Belize.

Day 3

Immerse yourself in the vibrant local culture with a visit to the San Ignacio Market, where you’ll experience the sights, sounds, and flavors of Belize. Next, dive into the ancient art of chocolate-making, learning how the Maya prepared chocolate the traditional way, and try your hand at creating your own 100% pure chocolate. Later, get up close with the descendants of dinosaurs at the fascinating Iguana Conservation Project. After a full day of exploration, return to Sweet Songs Jungle Lodge in the late afternoon for some well-deserved unstructured time. Whether it’s a refreshing dip in the pool, a peaceful walk along the jungle trails, a float on the river, walk the botanical gardens, or birdwatch, the choice is yours. We’ll end the day with a Sundowner Gathering and a delicious dinner, surrounded by the beauty of the jungle.

Day 4

Begin your day with a visit to Cahal Pech, an ancient Maya site located just outside San Ignacio. Wander through its plazas and explore the restored pyramids and structures, immersing yourself in the rich history and culture of the Maya civilization. After your exploration, stop at Cahal Pech Village Resort for a light lunch paired with a refreshing iced coffee, offering a perfect break before continuing your adventure. Next, head to the nearby Belize Raptor Center, where you can learn about the country’s native birds of prey and their conservation efforts. Enjoy interactive presentations, get up close to magnificent species like hawks and owls, and support wildlife protection initiatives. This blend of cultural history and nature conservation creates an enriching and memorable day in Belize. After this fascinating day, prepare to leave the jungle behind and head off to the beach for some well-deserved sand and sea.

Day 5

Begin your day with a private transfer from Sweet Songs Jungle Lodge to the tranquil shores of Hopkins Bay, where your perfect beach day awaits. Upon arrival, sink into relaxation as you lounge on the soft sands, soaking up the sun while listening to the gentle rhythm of the Caribbean Sea. Enjoy a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters or explore the vibrant marine life with some snorkeling or paddleboarding. As the day winds down, take in a stunning sunset while sipping on a cool drink at The Rhum Shack. End your evening with a delicious beachfront dinner, indulging in local seafood and Caribbean flavors under the stars. It’s the perfect way to unwind and embrace the laid-back coastal vibe of Hopkins Bay.

Day 6

Begin your day with a short golf cart ride down to the river, where you’ll hop into kayaks and paddle across to Palmento Grove Cultural Lodge. Spend the day fully immersed in the Garifuna Village, learning about their customs, cooking, language, and rich history. Upon arrival, change into traditional Garifuna clothing before heading out to gather ingredients for the meal you’ll be preparing. The kids will have the opportunity to learn how to use a machete to cut cassava plants and harvest roots, as well as climb a coconut tree for a fresh coconut to drink. After gathering your ingredients, head to the village kitchen to cook a traditional Garifuna meal. Once you’ve enjoyed your meal, learn the vibrant rhythms of Garifuna culture with a drumming lesson. End this enriching day with a visit to The Rhum Shack, where you can relax, sip on a refreshing drink, and watch the sun set over the Caribbean Sea—perfect for winding down after a day of adventure.

Day 7

Enjoy your last day at Hopkins Bay by starting the morning with a leisurely exploration of the charming village by golf cart, taking in the colorful sights and local culture. Afterward, unwind by the pool, soaking up the sun with a refreshing drink in hand, or grab a snorkel and mask to discover the vibrant marine life just off the coast. Whether you prefer to relax by the water or dive into the clear Caribbean Sea, it’s the perfect way to savor the final moments of your beach getaway at Hopkins Bay.

Day 8

Sadly, your trip has come to an end. Say goodbye to the beautiful Hopkins Bay as you prepare for your ground transfer to BZE Airport. While the adventures you shared with us may be over for now, the memories will last a lifetime. From exploring cultural treasures to discovering the wonders of Belize’s natural beauty, your journey has been full of unforgettable moments. We understand that plans can change, and while we would love to offer free cancellation, due to the limited availability of spaces and the special group rates secured for this event, we are only able to offer a refund if we can fill your spot or if you can find a replacement to take your spot.

If you need to cancel, please notify us as soon as possible. We will make every effort to fill your space from our waitlist. Should we successfully find a replacement for your booking, a full refund will be issued. However, if we are unable to fill your spot, no refund will be provided.
